Kathy Edward

kath_edwardsHelping people experience a turning point in their lives is Kathy Edwards’ greatest joy. “We all need to have an encounter that makes us totally surrender our lives to Jesus Christ. That’s a turning point—a moment in time when we are transformed and our lives are miraculously changed.” Kathy’s turning point came during turbulent high school years. “I had my whole life before me, but I was miserable. I kept thinking there has to be more to life than what I’m experiencing. I was plagued with questions about eternity. What will happen to me when I die? Why am I here? What am I supposed to be doing?” Those nagging questions made Kathy receptive to the advice of a Christian friend who encouraged her to give her life to Jesus. “I went home, kneeled in my bedroom, and asked Jesus to come into my heart.” Kathy says the sentiments expressed in the song, “Falling in Love with Jesus” sum up her life nicely. “Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing I’ve ever done, and giving my life to Him is the smartest thing I’ve ever done.”

Kathy has been a part of the TPi team since 1997. She has traveled nationally and internationally as a reporter, worked in radio as a news anchor, and has even done some acting. She confesses that she did not plan to work in television, but she is extremely grateful that God’s plans have taken her where she never thought she would go. As an ordained minister, Kathy has committed her life to living and teaching the Word of God. She says her ministry begins at home with her husband and children.
