10 Biblical Principles on Money
1.{Work hard}
Proverbs 12:24 – Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.
2.{Invest}
Ecclesiastes 11:12 Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
3.{Budget }
Luke 14:28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
4.{Save money}
“Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.”
.{Save money} Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.”
5.{Be content }
“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
6.{Be generous }
Proverbs 19:17 “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed.”
7.{Leave an inheritance for your children}
“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.”
8.{God is the one that gives wealth}
Deuteronomy 8:18 ESV
“You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
9.{Riches fade }
Proverbs 23:5 “Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.”
10. {Riches cannot save you}
Proverbs 11:4 ESV
“Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.”
